GoCamp strands: Citizenship

Democracies need active, informed and responsible citizens; citizens who are willing and able to take responsibility for themselves and their communities and contribute to the development of country.

Therefore, one of #GoCamp2017 strand is "Citizenship". Within this framework you’ll create programmes due to which children will understand what democracy is, learn to look at political and social issues critically, weigh all pros and cons, take part in debates and give reasons for their points of view, as a result, become active citizens. 

"Citizenship" strand is about respect for others and recognition of the equality of all human beings; and at combating all forms of discrimination by fostering a spirit of tolerance and peace among human beings.
